Traditional or Custom LASIK?

You may have heard that there are two types of LASIK approved by the FDA: traditional and custom (often called CustomVue or Wavefront). Although many patients are satisfied with traditional LASIK, custom LASIK technology uses special readings to create a detailed map of the eye. This allows the surgeon to more precisely measure and correct the unique imperfections of each individual’s vision, resulting in overall superior results compared to traditional LASIK.
